Badlands National Park

The burnt orange landscape and dry heat of eastern South Dakota were a challenge after Michigan and Minnesota. This was also our first experience camping with no electricity. We used our battery pack to make our morning tea and the sun to dry our clothes. With its dramatic eroded peaks and channels, this park is great for car touring, but we also did some hiking.
